The Yoctotechnology Website
|
This photo came from http://www.britneyspears.com I believe and I included it because of the complete absence of photos, given that yoctotechnology is a completely theoretical concept at the moment.

Hello, and welcome to the yoctotechnology website. I have set up this website, because of how nanotechnology seems to be the big thing at the moment, and I went all the way down in powers of three from nano- all the way down to zeptotechnology and found that beyond that, there weren't any websites about yoctotechnology within the google.com searching range.
At the moment, there is no such thing as yoctotechnology, when it comes to computer products, but I set this up so that I can claim credit for being the first person to have set up a website about the matter, assuming google.com hasn't just bypassed other websites.

How long will it be before yoctotechnology is a possibility? It could be a while before this becomes a possibility, given that we haven't even scratched the surface of nanotechnology yet (at the time of typing). However, the atom (which comes from the Greek word "atomos", which means "uncuttable") was thought to be the smallest particle of all. However, they were proved wrong when electrons, protons and neutrons were discovered. Then it was thought that they were the fundamentals. Again, they were wrong when things like up and down quarks were discovered. And so on. Could the same thing happen when it comes to particles measuring less than 100ym? If so, how long before yoctotechnology arrives?

Please will someone help me on this one
I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment, which means I cannot be bothered to apply Moore's Law to this, which says that the number of transistors on a chip is roughly double what it was 18-24 months previously. Using this, how long to people estimate it will be, under Moore's Law, before yoctotechnology starts arriving?
